Personal Trainer

From a very young age I have been active in sports and fitness. I was raised in Cleveland, Ohio, one of eight children. I enjoyed playing volleyball, field hockey and softball and competitively participated in gymnastics and diving. Later, I represented my high school while competing in synchronized swimming. It was in my senior year that I was picked up by a coach who started training me for the 1984 Olympics.

While in pursuit of the Olympics, I graduated, got married, moved to Florida and had a child in 1982.  My dreams of Olympic competition were replaced with my new found responsibility of being a mom. I maintained my dedication to fitness, and continued working out and running daily.

After a divorce, I moved back to Cleveland in 1983. While I was on my way home from work one night in 1984, I was in a life-changing car accident. My head shattered the windshield, my leg was pinned between a telephone pole and my stick shift left me with a compact fracture to my tibia. I underwent extensive surgery to place a rod through the bone to keep it in place for two years.

Determined to fight and get back into shape, I followed a regimented rehabilitation program and slowly regained my strength and mobility.  In 1985, I moved to St. Louis and have been an avid runner and worked out regularly.  Overcoming injury and remaining steadfast in my dedication to health and fitness has enabled be to offer my direct experience and commitment to help others in the form of personal training and guidance.  I have a genuine understanding of what you may be going through to prevail over obstacles in your life, and together, we can attain the level of fitness you desire.
